The 999 Happy Haunts are at it again as the third issue of Disney Kingdoms: Haunted Mansion has hit shelves. Today, I’ll delve back into the adventures of young Danny Crowe as we left him in one of the most iconic rooms in the estate. As we continue through the halls, the story takes a bit of a twist. More importantly, we earn a few connections to the world outside the New Orleans Square manor. So, climb aboard your Doom Buggy and let’s go!
The Life Of The Party
The latest issue of Haunted Mansion shows us a little more about the situation of the ghosts trapped inside. But when last we left our hero, he had forgotten why he was inside the house and was content to party in the Grand Hall. That is precisely where our villainous pirate ghost, The Captain, discovers him.

Since opening day, Epcot has added 3 pavilions to Future World, 2 on the east side and 1 on the west side. As we wrap up the west side of Future World, we will finish with that added pavilion: The Living Seas. Featuring three distinct areas, the Living Seas offered quite a bit to see for adventurous visitors. The theming has changed quite a bit since it has opened but the pavilion still offers quite to explore.
Welcome to Seabase Alpha
The pavilion that would eventually become the Living Seas was intended to open with the park in 1982. However, it took a bit longer for the concept to reach a point where it was ready to be built. Finally, the theme became an underwater scientific research facility named Seabase Alpha.

When it opened, EPCOT Center’s Future World tried to capture the ideals that went into Walt Disney’s original plan for future urban communities. Since that opening many of the pavilions have taken on new focuses or been left to age. While time has taken its neighbors in different directions, The Land pavilion has not only maintained its focus but the spirit of the original EPCOT plan.
Learning With The Land
Future World was built around a unique style of “edutainment” that was meant to inform and inspire visiting guests. With each pavilion focusing on a different area, passing tourists would be able to learn a little bit about different areas. The Land took this one step further and actually attempts to learn as well.
