New information is continuing to come out about summer at Walt Disney World. So, we’ve updated our calendar of events to help you keep your plans in order. We’ve added a few more items to the list and added specific dates to items.
With so many dining options in Walt Disney World, you’re pretty guaranteed to find a fantastic table service restaurant. But some of the most unique experiences can be pretty tough to snag. Today, I’ll discuss some steps to help catch that elusive advanced dining reservation!
Hard To Get Dining Reservations
Magic Kingdom features two recognizable castles, Cinderella’s and Beast’s respectively. But getting inside for dinner can be a near impossible feat. Luckily, there are some ways to give yourself a better chance.
The current running Disney Kingdoms series, The Haunted Mansion, released its second issue last week. I reviewed Issue #1 last month and really enjoyed how it built suspense as well as tell inside jokes. The second issue takes that tone and shifts it to draw us deeper into the conflict within the mansion’s ghastly halls. Today, we meet new characters as we join the swinging wake.
Haunted Mansion – Issue #2
The first issue took about half its pages to get inside the mansion itself. Once inside, we were treated to some of the suspense that the early rooms of the Haunted Mansion ride builds for us. The second issue takes a bit more time in one particular part of the mansion: the Grand Hall.
No one can deny that this is a year of change for Walt Disney World and Disney Parks in general. Here in Florida, however, some of the biggest changes are well underway. While we still wait on an official timeline for the new lands coming to Hollywood Studios, this week saw a lot of official information coming out.
We tend to avoid news here because we can’t hope to keep up with some of the other site out there but with all of the new info that hit we felt it would be wrong to completely ignore it. So we decided to help consolidate everything that we learned. We broke down everything we learned by month and then, where available, specific day. Here, we have compile all the information we have about what, and when, to expect at Walt Disney World as they attempt to Awaken Summer!
Disney has recently rolled out a few changes to the FastPass+ system. For most people, the biggest changes are the ability to skip the FP+ kiosks and book that extra FastPass from the My Disney Experience app and the ability to use that extra pass in a different park. However, during a recent visit I discovered that there is a deeper benefit for those wanting to maximize their time in the parks.
Maximizing FastPass+ Changes
- Book Only One FastPass – The FastPass+ system has retained the same limit of 3 initial passes inside a single park. But you don’t HAVE to book 3 passes. So, using the new ability to see and choose specific times, you should only book one and for the earliest time you can. For Epcot and Hollywood Studios, you can only use one Tier 1 pass PER DAY so if you have a must do available grab that one. If you are able to use the Single Rider lines at TestTrack or Expedition Everest, avoid booking these attractions.
